Our mission is to help you get out into nature and discover the wildlife and environment on your doorstep. We believe that the project increases awareness and appreciation of Falkirk’s wealth of natural wildlife and heritage opportunities in the local area.

Local History Online
One of the UK’s premier sites for local history, with nearly 1,000 links to sites both in the UK and overseas, regularly updated News and Calendar sections, directories of local history organisations and course providers and an on-line Bookshop, with stock at discounted prices.

Clackmannanshire Field Studies Society
CFSS was founded in 1970 after attempting to revive the Alloa Society of Natural Science and Archaeology established in 1865. The society’s aims are “to promote interest in the environment and heritage of the local area”.

Native Woodlands Discussion Group
The group covers native woodland ecology, management, history and conservation, is focused on N Britain, Scotland especially, and always welcomes new members. We have an annual excursion and an annual woodland history conference.

Perthshire Society of Natural Science
The Society was founded in 1867 to further the aims of exploring, collecting and recording the geology and natural history of Perthshire.  Its collection is now held by Perth Museum and Art Gallery.  They continue to publish Transactions, organise field meetings and winter lectures.
Archaeology Data Service
The Archaeology Data Service is the only accredited digital repository in the UK for heritage data, with over 20 years of experience supporting research, learning and teaching with free, high quality and dependable digital resources.
